Very touching, Pegge...I remember a Thanksgiving Dinner at the Wing right after your son passed and you have dealt with his death in a very loving way ever since. In 1986, I lost my brother and my very best friend, Paul to a car accident that was not his fault. Not a day goes by I don't talk to him and cherish the time we had. David Crosby wrote a song, Time Is The Final Currency... Check it out... Much love, Joe Ray
Oh @Joe RaySkrha, Attorney at Law - so much love with you, and your brother Paul. 🙏♥️
You would have loved Justin! Sometime I’ll share with you a song he wrote and recorded about fishing in a music workshop. This photo of him was on Reubin’s boat in 2005 near Eagle Rock.
I will definitely check out your song recommendation. Much love right back to you, P
I still have my copy of Justin's poem and read it at least once a year...thinking and loving hm and you...the life you gave him. The life he shared with so many people as he learned the values of hospitality and extending love you taught. so many times he opened doors and carried things for people always with a smile and that twinkle in his eye. And I know the connection of child to mom is strong even through time and space and heaven....thank you for a reflection of roots and wings. They are the things that anchor us here and in our souls. Hugs.
I love the echoing, the call and response rhythm of your poem and Justin's, the weaving. Wonderful idea to share them together. I wonder if you could listen deeply and softly, could you hear the I am from poem he might write now, from where he is. . .may do a bit of directed writing?
